Clearing Past Life Trauma with EmoTrance

What I love about the EmoTrance seminars most is the range of people and the issues they bring.  Even as a trainer I learn something new with each seminar and client because there are always new stories, new circumstances, and new trauma to be healed.

There were 10 attendees at this last training.  Large trainings are great.  Small trainings offer more personal attention and instruction.  Also, where people might be hesitant to open up about issues in a large training, small trainings are usually more open.

This last training one of the participants asked if EmoTrance could help heal past life traumas. My first instinct was to say “Of course. EmoTrance can help with anything”. As this has been my experience. Then I thought for a brief second, “Could it? Really?”  So, I replied to her “let’s play!” I asked her for a brief description of her issue. She was dealing with depression due to recurring visions and dreams of being in Egypt holding a small child and seeing her husband going off to war. The husband died in war. In her current life her relationships were not lasting and she was not in a relationship right now. This was a challenge and I love challenges! I love new ways and new testimonies for EmoTrance.

So, we began.  I asked her to close her eyes and envision or replay the dream sequence and to let me know where this emotion was in her body. I had her soften it until it moved and then, of course, we followed it though and out of her body. This was very emotional for her. Instead of just taking her through the same exercise a second time I asked her to envision the husband walking toward her from a great distance. Then we softened that reaction through and out of her body. The next time I asked her to see him walking away again, softening through and out of her body again. We did this several times. Each time I could see and improvement in her physical/emotional response to the vision. The last time I asked her to envision kissing him goodbye as if he were only going on a vacation or short journey then softening through and out the energy.

She reported that she was much calmer and felt better about the situation after the exercise.  The other class participants commented on how much clearer and brighter her face was after the exercise.  I love this work!!!

EmoTrance Pet Proxy

patricia dancingelkA look at the popular technique of EmoTrance by proxy, in this instance with animals.

Patricia writes: “During the last EmoTrance workshop one of the attendees (Gail) shared that it was Sunday and the day that her son would normally come over to watch football with his dad.  This particular Sunday the dad had told the son he couldn’t come over because he upset the dog (Spirit) too much.”

Read on for the full case study

To explain why the son upset Spirit so much; the son was sitting for the parents one weekend when Spirit got out and was almost hit by a car. The son was so stressed that he went running toward Spirit waving his arms wildly and yelling for him to come back in the house.  From that day forward Spirit was so afraid that anytime the son came in the house he would run to the back of the house and bark insistently until the son left.   The father was afraid that he wouldn’t be able to watch the game with the dog barking non-stop so he told the son to stay home.  This caused Gail a lot of stress and heart pain.  She also mentioned that this same dog (spirit) would no longer go in the grass in the back yard or even on the concrete without a human guard.

Gail is very active in the psychic community here and one of her friends was over one day and commented that there were many spirit animals in her back yard… one of which was a white tiger that had come to guard the place for Gail.   Another of Gail’s psychic friends who specialized in animal communication talked with her dog, Spirit, and found that he was afraid of the white tiger, but also mad because he felt it was his job to guard the back yard and resented the tiger. When the animal communicator asked Spirit about Gail’s son, he said that he was afraid of him and would continue barking until he left.  Poor Spirit! What a horrible mess.  She was very distraught over it and was wondering how she could help.

Now, you all know how much I love proxy… I could easily be labeled a proxy junkie! LOL And, so you know that I had to ask her if she was willing to proxy her dog.  She agreed and we had a fantastic time!  It was marvelous to get a dog’s point of view on things.  Spirit was a very stubborn dog and insisted that he could guard the back yard all by himself.  After proxying his reaction to the tiger, his reaction to sharing the duty of guarding, his reaction to having new friends, then proxying his reaction to the car incident, the son yelling at him, his fear – well, we were exhausted but felt good about the results.

I wanted to share what Gail just sent me in follow-up:

“Hey Patricia, I wanted to touch base with you and let you know how things are going with our dog Spirit. He is now getting back on the grass and going potty on the grass instead of the driveway.  It’s great to see him finally feel comfortable enough to get back on the grass. I guess he’s made friends with the White Tiger. Love Gail”

Proxying is not just for your human friends and family.. it can also be fantastic for your beloved furry family, too.  Try it!!!

Frontal & Occipital Hold and EmoTrance

The Frontal Lobe is where we process our thoughts and emotions. The Occipital is where we file our past experiences and memories.

This hold helps us bring up the old stuff to be processed and released easily and efficiently.

Frontal & Occipital Hold and EmoTrance

By:  Patricia DancingElk-Walls

Most practitioners have experienced a client that has an energy that comes up for release to be so intense that the client has a mini-melt down.  And, hopefully, most practitioners have a method in their pocket for handling this situation and don’t leave the client in trauma.

As a Master Trainer for EFT and EmoTrance, I have seen the effect that this has on the practitioners in training.  Some go straight into healing mode and assist the client through it.  Some go into panic mode and don’t know what to do.  That’s where I come in…

I have had students that come to the course have meltdowns that are addressed.  After all, isn’t it usually the person wanting to learn a new modality that have the most issues to clear?  That’s why most people are attracted to the healing arts.

I have been a trainer for EmoTrance for about eight years now.  I love EmoTrance and have seen it save many lives – literally.  While, EmoTrance is highly effective, there is always a way to be more efficient in what you do, right?  Coaching through the softening and flowing works wonderfully.  What if you could help a little more?  This is one of the reasons why I absolutely love EmoTrance; it is so easy to combine it with other therapies.

Try this one.  It’s called the Occipital/Frontal Lobe Hold.  While the hold is being done, continue to coach them with the EmoTrance tools.  It can be done by the client or you can do it for them while they process.  Now, here you go:

  • Place one hand over the forehead (Frontal Lobe)
  • Now, place the other hand on the back of the head or lower back brain (Occipital Lobe).

While they (or you) are focusing on the energy at hand, think or say “soften and flow” then “release and let go”.   Be aware of the sensations in your body.  You will know where the energy moves to.  Then follow the energy through your body “softening and flowing” until it finds an appropriate exit.  Holding the frontal lobe and occipital can often act within a minute to restore a sense of calm and improve focus and attention. However it is fine to hold them for a long time and many times a day. Used in trauma response, they can be held continually. In therapy, an issue that has stress or some other form of protective response is visualized or re-experienced, while the points are held.  Often after a few moments, the client will sigh, or indicate a change of state in some other way.

You can stop here, or if you continue holding the position, focusing on the original emotional energy while yet another layer may emerge, linked to the original emotion being worked with. Again after a few moments, this energy may soften and flow out. Now, bring back up the emotional energy and repeat the process until when you think about that emotional issue, it is no longer an issue or you feel invigorated instead of stressed.  There have been instances of where at the end of three rounds of this the client can’t even remember what the original emotional issue was.  Let me know if you need help in the processing.

The description of this hold says that it is useful when stressed, confused, have head ache or need to release a strong emotion such as anger, fear… Also great for memory retrieval or while meditating on creative solutions. Hold the Frontal & Occipital Hold for a few minutes, until relief is felt, a sense of relaxation, shift or feel the pulses synchronize.  Here’s a full description:

How does Frontal & Occipital Hold work?

By engaging and stimulating the meridian or neurovascular reflex points (located in the front of the head), you increase vascular flow through the body thereby inducing a state of relaxation.

The Frontal Lobe is where we process our thoughts and emotions.  The Occipital is where we file our past experiences and memories.

This hold helps us bring up the old stuff to be processed and released easily and efficiently.

Healing Relationship Troubles with EmoTrance by Proxy

Healing Relationship Troubles with EmoTrance by ProxyEmoTrance Trainer Patricia DancingElk-Walls writes: “During the workshops and EmoTrance Meetups that I have facilitated I have seen a growing need for healing in relationships.  EmoTrance is the perfect tool for working with conflict, whether it is your co-workers, parents, children, friends, spouse, etc.  Working with proxy is also a fantastic tool for expanding your intuitive skills.

Let me give you some short examples/case histories…”

1. Shirley/father – Shirley’s father was no longer able to care for himself and moved in with her family.  His need to control everything through criticism and disruption was really frustrating her.  I asked if she was willing to proxy him.  As I coached Shirley on being the proxy for her father, I was led in different directions then I normally would have taken in a proxy situation.

It became clear that his need to be controlling was out of his fear of losing his independence and status as the “father” and caretaker.  And, as Shirley proxied her father she gained new insight into his pain and emotional distress.

As a result, Shirley’s frustration and resentment of her father’s control was replaced with empathy and understanding.  And, as a result of the proxy work, her father was much calmer and happy.

 2. Lea/daughter – Lea had called me for an introduction to EmoTrance.  When I asked what she wanted to work on she said that her relationship with her daughter was under strain right now.

The daughter (a teenager) was really angry because she was grounded for not doing her work at home.  I asked the mother if she was willing to be a proxy for her daughter and she agreed.

After the second go round of the exercise, she reported that her daughter had come and curled up in the chair with her and she was going to go and spend some time with her now.

When I talked with her later she commented on how amazed she was at the speed at which her daughter had gone from angry teenager to wanting to hug and talk.

3. Debra/mother – Debra had come back to Texas and was temporarily living with her mother.  She complained that her mother was so negative all the time and that the energy in the house was so dark and unsettling that she couldn’t stand to be there and never got any rest.

I asked if she would try an experiment with me and had her proxy her mother.  During the proxy we worked on her mother’s resentment of her husband dying and leaving her in financial distress.

We also worked on her mother’s fear of her losing her home because of the finances.  After a few days Debra reported that when she got home that her mother was so calm and the energy in the house was so much better.

In working with the technique of proxy, not only are they assisting the other person to heal by relieving the energy blockage for them so that they can make better decisions, they are also helping themselves to remove their own emotional energy blockages in relationship to the person and situation in the process.  How fantastic is that!

There is so much more to learn and so much more that you can do for yourself and offer your clients.  I strongly encourage you to take the next step in your training.

Overcoming an Addiction To Coffee with EmoTrance by Beth Dodd

Beth DoddMy name is Beth, and I am a coffee addict. At least I used to be. I drank four to five cups a day for the past 15 years. When I was stressed, I’d have a cup of coffee. When I wanted to reward myself, I’d have a cup of coffee. When I was winding down at the end of the day, I’d have a cup of coffee. I had a socially acceptable addiction, but an addiction all the same.

Read on for the full case study from Advanced EmoTrance Practitioner Bethia Dodd…

I had been working at an EmoTrance Meetup to clear an issue with having too much sugar in my diet. I decided to include coffee. It’s not that I have anything against coffee, but I do take exception to having an addiction. If EmoTrance could help me reduce my craving for sugar, surely it would work with coffee. I began to EmoTrance the substance of coffee itself. Where did I feel coffee in my body? I included using EmoTrance on the “coffee addiction,” the habit of drinking coffee, and drinking coffee when upset, etc. EmoTrance, EmoTrance, and more EmoTrance. The usual protocol. While I was working, I noticed that a part of me became sad. That seemed odd to me. I didn’t want the addiction…or did I? Why on Earth would I want the addiction?

When I was a child, my Granny would make coffee for the two of us. My “coffee” was really nothing more than milk, a lot of sugar, and a splash of coffee. However, I felt so grown up and special sitting in my Granny’s kitchen having coffee together. Her attention was completely focused on me and it felt absolutely wonderful. So, it’s quite apparent where my love affair with coffee started. Like one of Pavlov’s dogs I had come to associate coffee with my Granny and her love and nurturing.

When dealing with food addictions, many times it’s not the substance itself that the person wants to hang on to. It’s the feeling of being special and loved that they have unconsciously come to associate with it that food item. Even if they hate the addiction, it is serving a purpose in their lives. This is especially true if they are not feeling loved, nurtured, and safe in their present circumstances or had many of those issues in their childhoods. If you take away the addictive item, you are in effect taking away that sense of being loved and safe.

Coffee made me feel closer and gave me a connection to my Granny who is no longer living. What I needed to do was to keep that sense of love for and from my grandmother without the need for the coffee association. I pictured in my mind sitting with my Granny in her kitchen. Getting up from the table and hugging her. In my mind’s eye and in my imagination, I took the focus off of having coffee with her and placed it on her. I felt the love she had given to me and the love I felt for her. As I imagined sitting with her, I performed EmoTrance on where I felt the energy associated with that get stuck. I then EmoTranced her passing away. I EmoTranced her moving to another state when I was a child and “leaving me.” I EmoTranced not having her as a refuge after she moved. That in turn poured over into issues with my parents. Those also needed to be cleared through EmoTrance. I EmoTranced anything and everything I could think of.

I also had to EmoTrance giving myself permission to forgive my parents. I had to work on the fact that I didn’t want to forgive them. There was stuck energy around the thought that I was entitled to be upset and angry at my parents. If I forgave them, it meant what they did or said was okay. If I wasn’t angry or upset it might meant that I liked it or deserved it. So many things needed to be cleared. The amount of issues hiding underneath the umbrella of a simple coffee addiction was staggering.

It worked. I no longer have any desire to drink coffee. After the issues and problems were resolved through EmoTrance, I no longer needed the addiction. I now have clarity and peace of mind instead. It has been six months without a single drop of coffee. My husband still occasionally drinks it, so it has been in our house for the entire six months. I even make it for him. However, I don’t have any desire or need to drink coffee. EmoTrance has truly changed my life for the better!

Relationship Pain Healed in Seconds!

A lady phoned me the other day about EmoTrance. She wanted to know more about it after reading an article in a magazine about relationships which had mentioned the technique and she was desperate to know what it was and how many sessions she would need as she had been suffering for so long. Now normally I would have directed her to the website for more information and recommended a practitioner but on this occasion I asked her what the problem was and she said she had this terrible feeling since she found out her husband was having an affair and then left her two years ago which she just could not get rid of, whatever she did, it was there day and night despite her best efforts to get on with her life. She couldn’t put her finger on what it was, anger, guilt, sadness or the sheer terror of being on her own now and raising 3 small children.

I asked her where she felt it in her body and told her to put her hands there and she instantly said, my chest, like an enormous weight which just won’t lift and some days feel it is going to squash the life out of me. I told her that the feeling was only an energy as there obviously wasn’t a heavy weight on her chest at this moment and that because it is only energy she can move it with her intention. I asked her where she thought the energy might like to go and within moments she said, Oh my god! It’s gone up and out the top of my head!

I then asked her how her chest felt now and she was astonished and said absolutely fine. I told her to think about her husband and she said she still felt nothing, it was gone, and there was such relief in her voice as she started to laugh.

Oh my god that’s amazing, I have my life back, thank you so much! were the last words I heard from her as she put the phone down. Now I know EmoTrance is quick but that conversation was about two minutes long, absolute maximum, and with a woman who had had no experience of energy therapies in her life before. I think we were both equally astonished at the end of that call and I just shook my head and smiled at the wonder of this extraordinary technique and how much suffering can be relieved so simply and quickly.
